Social media and boudoir photography have allowed for a sub-genre in boudoir photography to become popular: couples boudoir.
Once a couple has decided on a couples boudoir session, they then need to decide if they looking for implied nudity or full-on erotica. I specialize in the former, and tend to shy away from erotica, although there are photographers out there who do specialize in erotica.
Regardless of style, you’ll typically begin fully clothed and work your way to less. Don’t worry! We’ll discuss boundaries before your session even begins.

It's a whole lot easier to just say, "I take photos of ladies in their underwear." Oh... Oh! 🤩

If someone isn't familiar with this genre of photography, they might also ask me WHY people come in for boudoir sessions. There's milestone events, and dates, such as birthdays, anniversaries, weight loss, wedding gifts for the significant other, etc.

To no one’s surprise, the biggest fear ladies have about doing a boudoir session is LOOKING FAT. The second biggest fear was not feeling good enough, or afraid they won’t look as good as the ladies on my website.
My job is to make you look good. Between the posing, lighting, wardrobe, and a tiny bit of Photoshop, I’ve got all your angles and curves covered (no pun intended). The women on my website are not models; they are every day women. I guide clients into the right pose.
Number 3 was “I don’t know what to do with my face.” or, “I’m not photogenic.”
Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you don’t have Resting Bitch Face (RBF)! Boudoir photography has an element of voyeurism about it, and many of the poses lend themselves quite well to looking away from the camera.
Number 4 was “I don’t have anyone to do it for.”, or “I don’t know what to do with the photos.”
You do have someone to do the session for: YOU! The biggest and best reason to do a boudoir session is for yourself so that you can reap the benefits of feeling sexy, beautiful, and confident. If you happen to have a significant other to gift the photos to, then it’s a bonus.
As for what to do with the photos, that’s my job as a professional photographer. I’m here to help guide you into the best product. I pride myself on providing luxury, heirloom-quality products.

Women think that boudoir is about getting undressed when in reality it's about getting dressed. Lingerie is the base of any outfit, and your wedding dress may not afford you the ability to be very expressive. A bridal boudoir session allows you to give your significant other a sneak peek into the honeymoon!

So, far in advance should you schedule your session?
The answer kind of depends upon whether you are planning on paying in full or doing a payment plan. Products take 4-6 weeks to come in so if you’re doing a payment plan, you’ll want to have your order paid in full at least 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding or honeymoon.
