Where is Boudoir Betty located?

Betty is currently located in Dublin, GA about 45 min from Macon and Warner Robins, GA.

Will you shoot on-location at my home, or in your studio?

I have a studio but if you prefer the privacy and elegant surroundings a boutique hotel or bed-and-breakfast offers, or if your home has a spacious room with a lot of natural light, and is free from distractions, we can certainly shoot in your home. On-location sessions require prepayment of a collection in full.

How much is a session?

Sessions are $449 and include hair and make-up, unlimited outfits, unlimited camera time, and same-day session viewing.  A non-refundable booking retainer of $225 is required to secure your date and time.  Prints and products are separate.  Please contact me to schedule a time to chat over the phone.

Do you travel outside Central GA?

Yes! Local travel is within one hour, or approximately 45 miles from Dublin, GA. Due to the increased time demands of travel, equipment break-down, transport, and set-up, on-location shoots outside of the 45 mile radius command a higher fee. Standard travel time per hour is $40. If the destination requires air fare, arrangements for airplane tickets for two from Atlanta or Savannah and overnight accommodations (if required) would have to be pre-paid and would be in addition to the standard package prices.

I do also offer local petite retreats in various locations throughout the country. Please be sure to get on the mailing list to be notified of the next retreat.

How far in advance should I book my session?

If you are only doing the shoot for yourself, you could book in as little as two weeks in advance, but if you are planning on surprising a significant other with a photo book, or canvas, it is advisable to book a least a month in advance.

So, we've had our initial consultation and you've paid your retainer. Now what?

This is where we collaborate to come up with the concept for your shoot. We'll talk lingerie, and exchange inspirational ideas. Feel free to check out my boards on interest for ideas on what to wear, concepts, and posing:

What if I need to reschedule?

Reschedules and cancellations with seven days or less notice incur a $300 fee. Rescheduling up to and within thirty days, the fee is $100.  Less than thirty days notice but more than 7 days notice is subject to a $200 fee. A second reschedule is subject to a new retainer fee. Only one reschedule is permitted before a new retainer is required. If a cancellation is necessary due to poor weather conditions, your retainer will not be returned, but will be held for up to one year should you wish to rebook.

Do you recommend tanning before my shoot?

Please do NOT visit the tanning salon within a day or two of your shoot. Self-tanner is okay, but tanning booths have a tendency to make newly tanned skin look very orange or red in photos. Extensive editing may subject you to additional costs.

Do you provide wardrobe, or do I bring my own?

My recommendation is to bring several pieces of your own. You know what looks best on you, and you will feel more comfortable in it. If you're wearing something that you don't feel confident and sexy in, it will come across on camera. I can supplement from my own collection to accent, or enhance existing pieces. Besides, shopping for new lingerie is fun, and exciting!

I need to lose ten pounds before I do my shoot!

Ok, that's not really a question, but it is a fact that not only are you gorgeous, it's my job to show you just how gorgeous you are! And if you still don't believe me, take a look at my Pinterest board featuring these gorgeous women:  http://pinterest.com/bodaciousbetti/awesome-size/

Alternatively, you can set the date.  Make a goal and allow yourself to make payments toward the session. If your session date rolls up on you and you're not where you want to be physically, do it anyway. I will show you your beauty. Don't let your expectations of worthiness limit you from having the things that you DESERVE!

Can I bring a friend or significant other with me?

A friend or  significant other is sometimes an impediment to making a client feel truly relaxed. Due to my cozy shooting space, I must ask that you not bring someone with you to the shoot.

I want to do a shoot with my bestie. Will you photograph us on the same day & do a few shots with us together?

I take one client at a time so I can focus and connect with you one-on-one. Group sessions take away from this.

What sets Boudoir Betty apart from all the other boudoir photographers out there?

This question is best answered with another question:  Would you prefer your experience be similar to that of a fast food restaurant, or more like fine dining?  I hope you answered the latter.  Fast food restaurants can be noisy, impersonal, and full of distractions.  An experience with Betty ensures a personal, customized connection in a relaxed, body-positive environment.

Why should I book a boudoir session with Betty?

Besides the obvious, "I'm still smokin' hot" captured forever, how about 4+ hours of uninterrupted time just for you?  It's a mini-vacation without having to leave town, and it's all about you.   Besides, I often say, "We may get thinner, but we are definitely not getting any younger." Document who you are right now.

I don't know what I would ever do with my photos.

There are as many ways to display your photos as there poses!  And sometimes, it's not what you do with your photos as where you put them.  Put a beautifully framed print in the master bathroom.  How about a gallery wrapped canvas in a walk-in closet?  Got children? You could even place it behind in the walk-in closet behind your significant other's clothes, so that gorgeous photo with a close-up of your stunning eyes plays peek-a-boo every time he moves the clothes to get dressed in the morning.  What a lovely way to start the day!

Will You Recreate Images from something posted on Instagram or Elsewhere?

I’m happy to take inspiration from an image that inspires you, but do be aware that the image will be created with my own twist, and will not look exactly like your inspo image. It’s important that my work reflect my style and artistic flair, and not copy the work of others exactly.

I don't feel comfortable spending money on myself.

I totally understand.  That's why I offer payment plans to make a boudoir portrait experience manageable for any budget.  This is an experience you'll cherish for a lifetime.  You'll be able to look back at your photos and remember the day you gave yourself permission to feel beautiful.

During

I don't know how to pose.

You don't need to know how. Betty will guide you into poses and actions that make you look your best.

Do I have to get naked?

Heck No! Boudoir doesn't even have involve lingerie either. A comfy sweater and no pants can be so sexy! Check out my board on Pinterest for ideas on what to wear: http://pinterest.com/bodaciousbetti/boudoir-what-to-wear/

How long will my session take?

You should allow 4-5 hours for primping, pampering, posing, and same-day viewing.

Post-Session:

I can't wait to see my pictures! When do I get to see them?

You get to see your photos same-day!  Immediately after our session, you'll go to lunch and come back to view your photos approximately 60 minutes later.

I need my products in time for a special date.

As long as you book at least a month out, your products should be ready in time.  Products or edits that require expedited processing time may be subject a surcharge.

Do You Offer Payment Plans?

I do! You can get 6 months interest-free financing through PayPal Credit, as well as Affirm, and the Upgrade Card, or pay in four interest-free installments. I highly recommend getting pre-approval prior to your session so that you know exactly how much you have to spend.

Do you retouch all my images?

All images are given basic edits. Pimples, stray hairs, and cellulite are removed. My philosophy toward retouching is to enhance your beauty, but stay true to you. I will not alter you to make your photos reflect something you are not. Removing tan lines, or more involved editing may be subject to an additional surcharge.

Will you post my images online?

No, I will not post any images of you without your consent, even with a signed release. A client's trust is of paramount importance.

Can I post any images on Facebook? May I take pictures with my camera phone?

Any logoed images can be posted as you like on social media.  If you have a behind-the-scenes shot that you'd like to share, you are welcome.  Photos in the shooting area are prohibited.

Retainer and Image Rights:

All retainers are non-refundable. Boudoir Betty values its clients, and will make every attempt to reschedule your booking should you require a different date.  Only one reschedule is permitted. However, a no show or reschedule date less than one week prior to your booking will result in the loss of your deposit. Should you wish to rebook, a new retainer will be required. If a cancellation is necessary due to poor weather conditions, your retainer will not returned, but will be held for up to one year should you wish to rebook.
